Pepper Spray Used In Bromsgrove Robbery

Pepper spray was used when a business owner was attacked and a substantial amount of cash stolen in a robbery in Bromsgrove.

The business owner, a man in his 40s, was taking the weekend takings to the bank when the robbery occurred at 1315 on Monday in The Strand, Bromsgrove.

Investigating officers said that the attack was carried out by two men, one of whom sprayed a pepper spraypepper spray like liquid in his face, before throwing him to the ground and stealing his bag.

The bag, a blue rucksack with silver trim, contained a large quantity of cash, police said, but would not give an exact amount.

The attackers are believed to be white men – one in his early to mid twenties, slim, and between 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall.

The second attacker is believed to be about thirty, of medium build and between5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.
